How much does it cost ?

Training costs can vary. The average person needs between $2500 to $3500. These costs cover training material, ground school as well as flight training.

Do I need a medical ?

Although there is no medical required for flying these planes you are expected to be in fairly good shape. If your health is good enough to drive a car then you should be able to fly an airplane.

Do I need a License to Solo ?

Here is a beautiful thing. Solo flight is part of the training syllabus. You do not need a license to solo an airplane. You will have a simple test conducted by the flight instructor. After the test is conducted and the wrong answers are rectified you will be able to solo.  Solo flight may take a very short time to accomplish.

The best time to Solo is early in the morning. Flying Solo when the sun is rising above the horizon gives you such a great feeling.

Can I make money ?

Sports Planes are for recreational flying only. For this reason not even the airplane factories charge money for demonstration flights. The only exception to this rule is flight instruction. You may earn money in giving flight instruction providing your are qualified to do so.

What if I want to become a profesional ?

Sports planes are a kind of airplane so all the hours flown are logable. You can upgrade your license to general aviation by getting the extra training and passing the practical test. Starting to fly in a sports train and building hours will definatley safe money for future wannabe pilots.

The questions above help cover some basic facts. It is always a good idea to come to the club and see the airplanes and talk to the flight instructor who will be able to answer more questions.
